Conference activities

The main activities of the conference are hosted at the STEM building ('Edificio de Posgrados'), which locates in the Gustavo Galindo campus of ESPOL. The campus is surrounded by tropical dry forest and covers an area of 1482 acres, while providing a variety of infrastructure, including auditoriums, libraries, two gyms, a swimming pool, tennis courts and several restaurants.

The STEM building (12L) has an adaptable auditorium, which allows six classrooms with independent audio and video systems, as well as a large auditorium with a maximum capacity for 546 users, the building has an intelligent glass facade with a film that prevents the incidence of Ultraviolet rays, which saves on air conditioning costs. The building includes classrooms, meeting rooms, offices and common areas, as well as parking; access for people with reduced mobility and high-security systems.

​Welcome reception

Participants of the IWA-IDB Conference are welcome to join the welcome reception on Sunday 29 September, starting at 7:00 pm at the Bankers Club.

 Conference dinner

A conference dinner open to all participants is organised on Tuesday 01 October in the  Sheraton hotel, providing a relaxed social atmosphere to interact with interesting keynote speakers and other conference attendants.
